Popular RV resorts close to the city include the Atlanta South RV Resort (McDonough), Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve (Austell), Jones RV Park (Norcross), and Stone Mountain Park Campground (Stone Mountain).

Pro tips: Reserve your space at an RV resort or campground at least a few weeks in advance. Spaces are somewhat limited and tend to fill up quickly. Also, be prepared to deal with traffic on your way in and out of the city. You will want to time your journey to avoid the worst of it.

Soak up Atlanta’s natural beauty The city’s many natural wonders include the Atlanta Botanical Garden, with 30 acres of outdoor gardens and a canopy walk through Storza Woods. Atlanta Botanical Garden is located within Piedmont Park, a 211-acre urban oasis. Located just north of downtown, Piedmont Park is often compared to New York’s Central Park. Each of the parks were designed by the Olmstead Family.
